I just did a fresh install of Windows 10 (x64) on my Surface Pro. Then I installed Workstation 11.1.2. Installation went fine. But when starting, I get the error message from the headline.
Same with Workstation TechPreview 07/2015, vSphere Client 6.0 and Remote Console. Seems to be a General Problem accessing the remote console of vms.
Any Workaround known yet? I can't connect to any VM right now.

They were non-persistent OSCustomizationSpecs. I changed it to Persistent but I am now receiving an error when trying to run the script. It says New-OSCustomizationSpec An error occured but the error message cannot be loaded. The error Id is Core_NewCustmozationSpec_DoWork_RequireNameWhenServerSide

Can anybody confirm that VMware Workstation 10.0.7 will run on Windows 10?
All the discussions I have found are related to running Windows 10 as a VM, however I would like to update my physical laptop running Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, but cannot do this until I can confirm my copy of Workstation 10 will carry on working.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but I didn't see it floating around in regards to the official launch version of Windows 10.
When attempting to install WorkStation 11 it displays the error for unsupported operating system. This error shows regardless of whether the attempted install is done in compatibility mode or not.
Has anyone discovered a work around, or will I need to rollback to windows 8 in order to use Workstation?
Edit: I updated my key inside of Windows and when it rebooted to add features it downgraded my OS to 32 bit from 64 bit. This is why there were so many issues trying to install applications. Sneaky... After doing a clean wipe and installing 64 bit again everything is happy.

I am having a similar but different issue.
Running ESXi 6.0 (beta) on an Asrock H77M mini ITX.
Had a Quadro FX3800 in it running VM's - Win7, SteamOS & Android KitKat.
The Win7 & the SteamOS work fine. I used a USB ->SPDIF piped into the Quadro for sound.
I can only get the screen of the Android when rebooting the host. no matter what. The Win7 & SteamOS work after the Android, before whenever. But the Android must be first or no display.
And the SPDIF wasn't working either in Android, had to use the analog from the USB sound.
So I got a Quadro 2000 from CL, and swapped it out.
Now the Win7 still works fine as before ( I am using scripts to disable & re-enable the Vmware SVGA, here and above)
The Android does not work as the first VM. It only works AFTER I boot the Win7.
So I run the Win7, then Android, and if I shut down the Android I have to run the Win7 again to get the Android out the display.
This card has sound, so I don't need the USB ->SPDIF anymore. Of course it works in Win7, but not Android yet.
I know the sound issues are Android related, so ignore that.
But it seems the card needs to in a "state" that I only happened upon. It's funny how it takes different measures to get it into that state. I am convinced it's got something to do with the video ram on the card, and how it's left. Android is different since there is no VMware tools, but SteamOS is the same. I haven't tried SteamOS yet with this card, since there is quite a bit of brain damage involved.
So I thought I would add my experience here, maybe all this adds up for someone......
i do see data but just not on a weekly or monthly view. I only see it on a daily view.

I have been updating some VCO 5.1 code to 5.5 and I am struggling to find the means of catalog creation in 5.5
In the past I leveraged (com.vmware.library.vCloud.Admin.Catalog).createAdminCatalog but I am unable to find the comparable call in 5.5
Some direction for this would be great.

I've done some vCO training to get familiar with using the product. I now have a request from one of our support teams. They would like to be able to run a workflow that can output a list of all users and groups for each org we have. I've been searching the vCO documentation for API, REST and can't seem to find anything (obvious) about querying this information.
Can anybody provide some advice, point me in the right direction.

If i understand the scenario correctly,as mentioned in my thread you were forced to delete the PG from VCD db since all other options were exhausted ? Now that,you would like to add the PG back to VCD and doesn't reflect in VCD,i strongly believe this is a Sync issue between VCD&VC. Can you please try reconnecting VCD to VC and give it a try?

Strange - now I cant reproduce the bug with ESXi 5.1. It just goes into the EFI-setup after it claims that booting from IDE was not successful.
Same behaviour for ESXi 5.0i
With ESXi 5.5 I still get the bug - see attached files.
Guess I should run the same tests again on WS 10 and 11 - just to be sure what really has changed ...

Hi Im having the same issue. Do I still need to install the OS or after I created before starting the VM I can already extract the ova? When I extract the ova file from xencenter I generated 2 .vhd file. Can I upload 2 vhd on virtualbox?

I have a Fujitsu RX2540 Server. We have purchased additional Fujitsu D2755 NIC's that will be configured for SR-IOV. I have enabled SR-IOV in the BIOS, but when I try to enable it via the web client I get the below error...
It states try setting it to Auto Negotiation, but this is not an option when click the drop down box. As far as I'm aware the cards are on the VMware compatibility list (So I'm told). As anybody had a similar issue when trying to set the configured speed to Auto Negotiation?

Yes, when it downgraded the host OS to 32 bit it failed because WS 11.x is supported only for 64 bit host OS.
This worked!
I did the .iso update method and it worked for a little bit until Windows did an update and then changed the driver.
So I used the method of using this driver:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VMware\Drivers\video_wddm
And so far it is sticking!
